You spot the next two creatures sniffing and scampering around the large grass-tufts before you actually get to the creatures. From afar, you can make out blue bodies; a darker one has feathery wings, and flitters around, occasionally vanishing into the grass, while the other creature is larger, and lighter in color, with spines. Upon nearing them, you make them out to be whorlings.

They eye your group a bit, but other than that, don't really interrupt whatever it is that they're doing. It seems to be a mixture of playing andseeking out food, in the form of small seeds that must fall from the blue flowers. They aren't directly in your path, so you pass by them without having to disturb their activities. Ahead, you can see that beyond a few more of the tall grass-tufts, the landscape changes, and you are nearing the sea.
