The sun finally appears over the horizon, far past the desert to your right. And to your left, the trees seem to grow taller and thicker; huge, sturdy boughs reach out of the large trunks, and the leaves are dense and lush. You wonder how such different habitats are so close together. A whir of air on wings interrupts your pondering, as a small creature darts down to investigate you. It's followed by a larger creature, which walks to you, instead of flying, as it is wingless. They are followed by yet another creature... and then a third hippogryph, this one winged, who swoops down from the trees, followed by another small creature.

The first little creature flies in lazy circles, and the first hippogryph looks at you for a few moments, and then speaks. "'Ello! Looks like Kalien found you. Enjoying yourself?" You reply that you are, and inquire as to the hippogryph's name. "I am Aurilliai. A bit of a mouthful, no?" She grins, an odd thing to see when the creature in question has a beak. "Many just call me Auri." The other hippogryph steps forward as well. "And I am Prienshe!" She bows. "I have no wyvie, yet," she explains, shrugging slightly. "Perhaps some day I'll find one, though!" She looks around. "If you happen to see one, send them along my way, okay?" She seems a bit hyper, and not inclined to stand around. "Anyway, I'm exploring a bit, so I'll leave you with these two!" You reply that you will, and she smiles, then turns, going back the way she'd come from. The third hippogryph grins a lazy smile at you. "And I'm Yenaco, the newest of this trio. This is my wyvie, Deveka... she found me when I wasn't expecting it." He laughs. "Fate, I guess!" He winks, and turns to look at Auri. Auri looks to you again. "I should be heading off," Aurelliai says. "I'm a bit hungry, and I think Kalien is as well!" She trots away into the forest, in the direction that Prienshe had gone, her wyvie following after. Yenaco gives a nod of his head, and leaps up, taking off into the air and out of sight. His wyvie friend follows.
