The path is relatively short, and it does indeed bring you to the edge of the island. Once again, you realize that you must swim across to get to what appears to be the continuation of the path on the land across the water. You dive in. It doesn't take long for you to reach the land on the other side, and it doesn't take long for you to notice that you aren't along on this side of the water.

The dragon whorling, which is quite large, advances on you. Your arms and legs are tired from having just propelled you across the water, and you back away, eying the trees beyond the whorling. You doubt you could make it past. Why couldn't this have been a more friendly whorling? You wonder if perhaps you should just try to bolt for it...
