You wonder what festivities the Crystal you'd just passed had been preparing for, and hoped to come across them. However, as you wander, the forest grows a bit quieter; the birdsong a bit less. And the humidity grows quite a bit. The foliage, accordingly, also becomes more dense, and all traces of fall in the lands you were just in, mere moments ago, seem to fade. Odd, very odd... but then again, this entire place is seeped in magic. When the next inhabitent of the land suddenly bursts out from behind large leaves and onto the path, you find that he fits into this strange and sudden landscape...

You freeze. As often in lands like this, you aren't quite sure whether or not this creature is friendly or not. As it turns out, this one is friendly. He looks at you, inquisitively, and you can see intelligence gleaming in his eyes. Then, with a little, friendly chirp, he disappears back into the leaves.
