You decide to explore around the buildings of the abandoned town a bit more. You note that there's not a speck of wood, it seems, as far as the construction of the structures is concerned; marble and limestone and such greet your eyes at every turn. You wander carefully amongst colums and statues, some fallen, some still standing. A variety of people, objects, and strange, unknown creatures adorn these carven artworks, and you marvel at some of the more well-done and unique. You stop short, looking around, as a smell assaults your nose. It's definitely not a pleasant smell, and reminds you of... death. Death, and decay. You back up slightly, eyes scanning around you. Where there's death, there's slightly to be a cause of death. And in a place like this, that's more than likely a creature. You spot a creature soon enough... walking straight towards you, a deliberate madness in its eyes. And, as you nervously look around, you make out another one, resting on the top of a marble column. This one doesn't look quite as threatening as the other, but all the same, you get a slightly weird feeling about the two of them. Particularly as the first is still walking towards you, rather menacingly... you look back towards him. The creature is a strange patchwork, and he stalks on, aimed right at you. You wonder what he plans to do... there's a strange look in his eyes, and you don't particularly like it. Something about this creature definitely disturbs you, to the very marrow of your bones. You risk a glance back at his companion. There's no doubt about the fact that, while... odd, she's also extremely beautiful. Her colors, light pink, purple and blue are gentle, and seem to clash with the feeling you get from whatever species this is. There's a certain vacancy in her eyes that also negates that gentleness...

You start to back away, and first creature stops. He sits, and watches you, until you leave the area you'd been exploring. Apparently, he was just guarding... though guarding what, besides maybe the female, you don't know. You aren't quite sure you care to know, either, judging by the smell. With one last glance at the colorful, patchwork creature, and his delicate-looking companion, you decide to go explore a nicer smelling part of this abandoned town.
