The tree winds along the top of the cliff at the border of the trees. As the sun continues to rise over the land, half occasional shafts of light pierce the canopy to your right, and beams fall on you as well. It's a lovely sort of morning, and though you have, apparently, been walking for most of the night, you don't feel tired. In fact, the coming of the sun only serves to energize you more. Up ahead, a cluster of rocks pushes back the trees on the left of the path. As you approach, you notice a creature perched contentedly on one of the rocks, a mequis. He regards you amiably as you approach.

The mequis is quite pretty, and as the sunlight touches his fur, his coat seems to mirror the deepening blue-purple of the sunrise. After a moment's pause of looking at him, he nods his head, as if to signal that you should move on, and you oblige.
